JESUS was a man of action! When He needed to be with His disciples on a boat in the middle of the Sea of Galilee, He simply walked on the water to get there. When the 5000 men (not counting the women and children) were hungry, He produced a banquet out of two small fish and a few pieces of bread. When it was His time to walk to the cross to die of our sins, our Savior obeyed the will of His Father and took that cruel journey. Although His earthly ministry lasted a relatively short time here on earth, it was action packed.

At Lake Russell Baptist Church we believe that as followers of Christ, we are to be people of action as well. We fully believe in His great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and seek to lead people to Christ in our community, state, country, and world. This evangelistic passion does not end with a sinner’s prayer at the doorsteps, but is just as fervent to disciple the young convert with teaching, and preaching the inerrant, inspired Word of God. Lake Russell Baptist has an especially keen burden for children and teens, and has many activities such as Team Kid, that will bless them.

Lake Russell is also a hospital for the spiritually wounded and sick. We are a loving, compassionate church that seeks to encourage its patients to ask Dr. Jesus to make a house call. Please consider beautiful shores of the lake that bears our name for Sunday School at 10:00am, and the worship services at 11:00am and 6:00pm, and the Wednesday night “Real Prayer Meeting” at 7:00pm. What a unique opportunity exists right here in Elbert County, Georgia to see Jesus move with power to save and disciple!
